Colmar ski apparel incorporating fabric treated with G+

Directa Plus and Colmar have collaborated in the development of a ski apparel collection for the autumn/winter 2018/19 season. The collection is the third snow sports apparel collection to be developed by the two companies.

The collection comprises 31 items, including men’s ski jackets, women’s ski jackets and, for the first time, ski trousers.

All of the items are made with fabrics to which Directa Plus’s G+ (Graphene Plus) graphene-based treatment has been applied. G+ provides fabrics with several performance properties, including resistance to odour and protection from ultraviolet (UV) rays. Also, fabrics treated with G+ have thermoregulation properties, thereby helping the wearer to maintain a comfortable body temperature.

Items in the collection were presented at the 2018 edition of ISPO Munich[2], which was held in Munich, Germany, during January 28-31, 2018.

 Collaboration with Eurojersey

Directa Plus

Directa Plus and Eurojersey have been collaborating over the last year to conduct joint R&D to develop the product samples and a selection of Sensitive Fabrics enhanced by G+.

Directa Plus and Eurojersey have collaborated in the development of warp knitted fabrics treated with G+. The fabrics are being sold under Eurojersey’s Sensitive brand, and are intended for use in the manufacture of athleisure apparel, sportswear and underwear.

The fabrics were presented at the Première Vision Fabrics trade fair which was held in Paris, France, during February 13-15, 2018.

When news of the new collections was announced, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Directa Plus, Giulio Cesareo, said: “Colmar and Eurojersey are two partners with which we have developed deep, strong relationships, based on our shared passion for innovation and sustainability. It is therefore extremely pleasing to see both companies launch new collections incorporating Graphene Plus. The considerable interest we received at ISPO for our graphene-based products is testament to the high performance qualities that they bring to garments, which are enjoyed by professionals and sports enthusiasts alike. We look forward to expanding our existing relationships and establishing new partnerships with global companies as we continue to enhance our position in the textiles market.”
