A taste of the exotic is heading to Gloucestershire with a series of shows from the Haziz belly dancers.

The troupe is made up of nine performers who all live in Gloucestershire, and who have been inspired to train in various forms of Arabian dance.

They perform dances from Persia, Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia and Cuba, and use traditional, folk and classical styles - including tribal and burlesque.

The show will include group and solo dances from the lavishly costumed dancers, and will feature veils and candle dances as well as tribal stick dancing from Upper Egypt.

The music ranges from classical to cabaret.

Three shows are planned for 2010 - at the Gloucester Guildhall on 24 April, and at The Cotswold Playhouse, Stroud on 25-26 June.
